I got together with some other photographers from ILP and we brought our children as models. This is one of our young girls who is 3. I might have gone a little overboard on the pop- I will tone it down in a bit.
I have always wanted to have the opportunity to go to Photography Workshops around the world to learn everything I can and maybe provide reviews to magazines and my blog public about those workshops. Well now I can try to make my dream come true- there is a contest being sponsored by Lenovo and Microsoft. You can view my entry by clicking here. If you like my idea- click on Pic it to vote. If I win I get a new laptop that is made specifically for photographers and some money to apply toward my dream. So all my loyal readers- I need your help. Pass on my information to whoever you think might like it.
Did you know that April is National Multiples Awareness Month? In honor I am offering free sessions to anyone with twins, triplets, quadruplets, ...... need I say it- even octuplets :). In addition to a free session, you also get a free 11x14 with your order. As a Mom of twins myself- I know how difficult it is to take your Multiples to the Studio- my sessions are relaxed, in either an outdoor setting or indoors in case of inclement weather (like we are having today :) ) The children play and interact and I shoot around them, guiding gently with suggestions. Since I can relate, I will also offer this deal throughout the rest of 2009- since it is still difficult to take your multiples to a photographer no matter what time of the year it is.
That is right- I got the first Trunk Show date of the new Hot Line Collection from Matilda Jane. For those who have not seen these clothes- they are gorgeous- and perfect not only for portraits for going out and about. I own several of the pieces from the Fall collection- check this out: While this is not the most technically perfect picture- it does have all 4 of them looking and looking so cute in their Matilda Jane (yes- the boys are wearing the Mr Lucas shirts from MJ) If you are interested in coming to the Trunk show it will be Sunday March 1st at the Bright Horizons on Braker Ln in Austin at 2:30pm. Come and see the brand new collection- I can't wait. And I am setting up my photography lights so there are pictures involved! Matilda Jane's website is http://www.matildajanegirls.com/ and the blog is http://www.matildajane.typepad.com/ they have been posting sneak peaks over there so head on over and check them out. Bring your friends- your all invited. (more pics of my kids in Matilda Jane at www.momentsmatterphotography.blogspot.com)
Okay- these did not turn out as well as I had hoped- I took over 150 photos and every single one of them the focus grabbed the clothes and not the kids faces. I know it has to do with contrast- but I was very frustrated. I am posting these only because my family is clamoring for new pics.
I am going to have to retake these, and try harder to get the right focus. I really want to do justice to the clothes- and the kids! And Doda Dorit- Ari was not cooperative- that is why he is only in the group shot- and bribed to stay there by singing Modei Ani.
bad me- I have soooo many pictures taken- but not edited! Let alone resized to put on the web. I am working full time and so busy in the evenings with the kids, going to Body Jam at the Gym, and trying to get some crafting done (I am making my first quilt- see my other blog http://www.imalearba.blogspot.com/) I just can't seem to eek out any time to edit. So if you are following my blog- I promise- this weekend, pics of the kids in Matilda Jane are going up (if you are curious- http://www.matildajanegirls.com/. If you are here in Austin- don't order off the site- I have having a trunk show on March 1st and your invited! I will post more details then. For now here is one picture to hold you for now- btw- pay no attention to the fact that I blew out Ari's face- I think this is a Mom goggles shot- I love this because they are all 4 looking! I love how Yael and Itai are positioned and I love that they are all looking and I love their outfits- Yay Denise for sending those to us!
and here is one I have on my work computer- the girls had just turned two.
I am a 38 yr old SAH Mom who has a passion for Photography. With 4 kids, multiple projects and frantic attempts to carve out me time by crafting, I am pretty busy. I am sometimes not current on my blogs so if you are wondering why- see above :).
